ARCHBISHOP PETER CHONG MEETS WITH RELIGIOUS SUPERIORS

Today at Nicolas House, Archbishop Peter met with the major superiors of Religious Congregations working in the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Suva to address the issue of allegations of sexual abuse against minors.

Archbishop Peter has reiterated that the Catholic Church in Fiji is committed to dealing with allegations of sexual abuse against minors by priests and religious. Once again, he has made it clear that the Church will work closely with the arms of the law to ensure that justice is served at all levels while providing pastoral care to the victims and their families.
