Feast Day of St. Thérèse of the Child Jesus
Date: October 1st
St. Thérèse of the Child Jesus, also known as “The Little Flower of Jesus,” is celebrated on October 1st. A Carmelite nun from Lisieux, France, she is one of the most beloved saints in the Catholic Church. Her spirituality, known as the “Little Way,” teaches that holiness is found in simple acts of love, humility, and trust in God. Thérèse believed that doing small things with great love could lead souls to sanctity. Declared a Doctor of the Church in 1997, her feast invites us to deepen our trust in God’s mercy and to follow Christ with childlike simplicity and wholehearted love.
