The Archdiocese of Suva is looking for a dynamic person to join our Communications Team as Communications Coordinator. As the Communications Coordinator, you are tasked to provide administrative support in the Communications team by executing and monitoring communications strategies. This role involves creating public relations such as press releases social media posts, Graphic solutions, video editing support, and any other task assigned by the Public Relations Officer or Archbishop.
-Provide administrative support to the communications team in developing and implementing a communications strategy designed to further the Archdiocese operational and Pastoral Plans.
-Plan press conferences and other events within the Archdiocese.
-Assist in creating a variety of different content to support communications efforts, including video’s, website articles, brochures, poster, press releases etc.
-Monitor analytics and create insight reports detailing the successes and failures of communications campaigns and strategies -Monitoring and updating the social media platforms such as Facebook and YouTube.
-Respond to media inquiries and maintain relationships with journalists and other members of the press
-Coordinate volunteers, support staff, vendors, and more to support events plan by the Communications Team.
-Perform outreach to press outlets, magazines, influencers and build strategic partnerships to grow brand notoriety
-3+ years experience in communication, journalism, or marketing role -Strong communications Network within the Archdiocese of Suva.
-Exceptional video editing and graphic designing skills is a must.
-Superior time management and organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines
-An analytical and creative mind and ability to think critically -Exceptional writing and interpersonal communication skills.
-Ability to collaborate as a team or work independently
-Familiar with MS Word, Excel, and Powerpoint and capable of creating visually compelling presentations
-Proven knowledge/experience of communications, marketing ethics, and Social media platform management.
-Proficient public speaking abilities or experience as a show host or program producer will be an added advantage but not a necessity.
-Ability to write and translate from Ituakei to English or vice versa.
-Exceptional theological understanding of the Catholic faith, the incumbent should also be a practicing catholic.
